what we often do when it is drippy and rainy

Me and my daughters go on worm hunts. We live near a nature preserve and so we take walks in the rain collecting worms from the trail and bringing them home with us. We put these fabulous tillers and composters in my garden! Sometimes we find night crawlers that are as big as small snakes and writhe violently when I scoop them up. I use a small twig to slip under them and then deposit them in a container.

gardening is a spiritual activity
